Any social security # error when importing bank transactions?

On desktop 2019 my client sometimes gets an error message warning about finding a problem with an employee's s.s.# immediately after importing bank transactions. Very strange because this is two different areas of QB. Anyone else see this? Cause or fix? Thanks in advance

Any social security # error when importing bank transactions?

Hello there, @RetroZen.

I've come to share information regarding the error that your client received concerning a problem with an employee's SSN in QuickBooks Desktop.

There's an ongoing issue with QuickBooks Desktop right now, wherein customers received an error indicating that the system found a problem with SSN and other employee's sensitive information. Our engineers are currently working to determine the root cause of this hurdle and apply a fix.

In this case, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team so you'll be notified whenever any updates on this matter are made available.

To reach them:

  1. Click on Help at the top menu bar.
  2. Hit on QuickBooks Desktop Help
  3. Press on QuickBooks support.
  4. Choose your preferred way to speak with our representative.

For now, to get rid of this error, your client may access QuickBooks as an Admin.

To do that:

  1. Right click the QuickBooks icon.
  2. Select on Properties.
  3. Press on Compatibility.
  4. Check the box to run as Admin.
  5. Hit on Save and close.

Your patience and understanding in this situation are much appreciated.

Know that I'll be right here to assist you further, should you need anything else. Have a nice day!
