Join nowAfter updating my bank password, my QB account will no longer link with my bank, and gives error code 108. Believe me, I have spent a plethora of time on the phone with my bank, and more than an hour on the phone with QB over multiple phone calls. There are no messages on my bank site, as QB states on their "fix". For two weeks now I've had to do manual uploads of my business bank account, which as previously been linked for the past 4 years by the click of a button. I'm told my situation was "escalated" and I'd be contacted, but its been 2 weeks and I still can't connect. Very frustrated that this isn't getting better attention from QB. Anyone else run into this? Am I getting the runaround?
Hi @darraN,
I understand how difficult it is when you’re unable to download transactions from your financial institution. I’m here to share some insights about Error 108.
This error code means that there is a message on your bank website that needs your attention. Since you referenced checking your bank website and see no messages, there is a possibility that your pop-up blocker was enabled.
We need to configure the web browser's pop up blocker to allow pop-up windows for these websites and see your notifications.
Now, log in to your financial institution website. If you still don't see any notifications, I’d suggest giving our Customer Care Team another call to see any updates on your escalation.
You can contact them through the number listed in this article: Get help with QuickBooks Online.
That’s it for now. Don’t hesitate to post again in the Community if you have questions. I’ll be around to help.
Did you ever resolve this?
Hi there, @kperlow.
I notice that you've posted the same question twice, and I've already added an answer to the other one. Just in case you haven't been notified of the new response, here's the link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/banking/re-error-108-when-updating-bank-accounts/0....
Keep me posted on how it goes. I'm still here whenever you need help.
I found out that I had neglected to allow third-party access to my account. Once I allowed that (in the security section of my account there), all was well again.
