I have an incorrect beginning balance on my reconcile screen and I can't figure out how to change it. This account has not been reconciled before. It's beginning balance should be zero but is showing as $28.52. This is my data entry error, not an error from missing or duplicate transactions.
All of the instructions for how to edit an incorrect opening balance do not work. I have read through every line of my register and can't find an "Opening Equity" entry for this account. I have looked at the "Opening Equity" register and don't see it there either. However, when I open the reconcile screen I have a beginning balance amount of $28.52.
Thank you!
Rachelle
Hello there, @Rachelle1909.
I want to appreciate all the efforts you exert to fix the issues of reconciling accounts. Let me provide additional insight on how to fix the incorrect balance.
To get started, let's check your bank register and sort the Reconcile Status as Reconciled. From there, review each transaction as the R status composes the beginning balance.
Here's how;
Once you found it, you can manually change the status of the transaction or apply it to the correct one.

Thank you Joesem M!
I had accidentally reconciled a few transactions. This showed me exactly which ones. I really appreciate your help!
