You can't directly import QuickBooks .QBW file into QBO. In order to export the file to QBO, you need to have the .QBW file installed in QuickBooks Desktop software program. If you don't have have this program, you can download 30-day trial of QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020 version.

Use these codes to install QuickBooks Pro 2020 trial version:

  • License #: 0421-9621-3866-298
  • Product #: 611951

Hope this helps!

Yes, you can import your data, aavgou04.

You'll need to restore your .QBW file into QuickBooks Desktop first before you can export it to your QuickBooks Online account. If you don't have QuickBooks Desktop anymore, you can download a trial version.

Please note that data your export will replace everything you have in your QuickBooks Online company. If you've already entered transactions, you'll have to recreate them.

You can refer to these articles:

On the other hand, there some information will not be exported to QBO due to the differences of platforms.  Example: Your attachments, audit trail report, custom fields, and other data will not be exported. You can check out this article for more details: What data doesn't convert from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online?
