Can i make one account for one customer with different currency?

You need to turn multi currency feature on and create a customer with their currency to proceed.

Another option, explore this payment service. You may release invoice and get paid in USD, and your customer will pay in their local currency. It supports QBO.

Hi there, @Cityconect,

Fiat Lux - ASIA is right. You must set up the Multicurrency feature to assign a different currency to a customer. Here' are the steps to do that:

  1. Go the Gear icon and select Accounts and Settings.
  2. Tap the Advanced section.
  3. Click the Currency window, and mark the Multicurrency box.
  4. Agree with the terms and select Save then Done.

To add foreign-currency Vendors or Customers:

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select Customers.
  2. Select New Customer.
  3. Enter all the customer details and go to the Payment and billing section.
  4. Add the currency in the This customer pays me with field.
  5. Select Save.

Please note that we can only assign one currency per customer. Once it is set, you're unable to change it with another one.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to get back to this forum. I'll be right here to help you any time.

I'm curious, if a customer has only one currency, can we set up a second customer with identical details to have the second currency?

Yes, you can set up a second customer with a different currency, damienvince.

Just make sure to add a special character, like period, at the end of the name. QuickBooks Online doesn't allow duplicate names between customers, vendors, and employees.

Here's how to add a customer.

  1. From the left menu, select Sales.
  2. Select Customer, then New customer.
  3. From the Customer information window, fill out the needed information.
  4. Go to Payment and billing.
  5. From the This customer pays me with field, select the customer's currency. This is the currency that the customer uses to pay you for products or services.
  6. Click Save.
