I work with 2 checking accounts. I don't have any problems with our main account.
The deposits are not showing up in the register for the secondary account.
I double-checked that I am entering the deposit in the correct checking account on the deposit screen and that the date is correct.
When I go to reconcile, the deposits show up there.
However, they do not show up in the register and the balance sheet is off.
What's going on?

Hello there, @gloriadeb204,
Thanks for visiting the Community today. I'm here to help ensure to retrieve the deposit in your register.
We can set filters of the transactions you want to display when you access the register. It could be that it's set in a different filter. Hence, the deposits are not showing.
If the deposits still don't appear, it could be that it's associated to a different check register. You can go to other registers and review the list.
It is also possible that the payments weren't deposited yet. You might need to create the deposits: Record and make bank deposits in QuickBooks Desktop.
I’ve also added this article that you can use for future guidance in effectively reconciling your accounts in QBDT: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Desktop.
Feel free to drop by again if you need anything else. I'd be happy to get back and help.

Thank you for responding.
I won't be in the office until Monday and I'll check on the filter issue. It's something I wasn't aware of.
The deposits do show up when I go to reconcile.
Is this going to work in QB Desktop 2017?
I didn't see anything in the headers about filters.
However, I did click on the headers and the deposits did show up!
Thanks you
Went to the chart of accounts tab but cannot see View Register. What am I doing wrong?
Fixed it!
Welcome to the Community, Jean74.
After accessing your Chart of Accounts window, you can view registers by highlighting an account, using the Activities ▼ drop-down list, then selecting Use Register.
I've included a detailed resource about working with your Chart of Accounts screen that may come in handy moving forward: Learn about the chart of accounts
I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Thursday!

clear filter/view all does not appear. Funnel does not appear.
Hi there, Barbara74.
Let me share additional insights with the clear/filter view all options on your end.
The steps provided by my peer above are for QuickBooks Online version that's why you don't see it.
You can locate the deposit by sorting transactions in the Bank register. Here's how:
Once all are set, you can now reconcile your account.
Reach back out to me here with any additional information on the issue, so I can get you taken care of. Thanks for coming to the Community.
I havent been able to get this corrected. When going to chart of accounts I cannot find VIEW REGISTER. ALSO I do not see the filter above the date header... maybe not understanding instructions...
thank you.Mary
I'd like to share the updated steps to access the View Register option and help you locate the date header, @MaryO2023.
First, please confirm if you're using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). If so, please note that the feature is referred to as the Use Register instead of View Register.
To locate this in QBDT, please follow these steps:
After that, you can adjust the date filter as follows:
However, if you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO), please note that the View Register feature is only available for balance sheet accounts. For accounts such as Other Expenses and Income and other similar accounts, you will only have the option to Run Report. To access this feature, please follow these steps:
For more detailed information about viewing the register and using its filters, refer to this article: Find, review, and edit transactions in account registers in QuickBooks Online.
Then, here are comprehensive guides to ensuring your QuickBooks accounts match your bank statements for when you need them later:
