We use direct deposit for payroll. I'm trying to pay employees that don't have a bank account with a debit card that can accept direct deposit.
Hello there, @SIL64.
I'd be glad to help share ways for you to pay your employees that don't have a bank account for direct deposit.
To be able to pay your employees through direct deposit, they must be set up for direct deposit in QuickBooks. To set them up, you must gather the employee's bank information and enter the information in your online payroll.
Since some of your employees aren't set up or don't have the bank account for direct deposit, you can write a manual check for them. To be able to, ensure to select Paper check for the employees' payment method.
Once completed, you're now ready to run payroll or write a paper check for your employees. For the detailed steps, you can check this article: Create paychecks in online payroll.
You can also check this article for additional reference about setting up an employee for direct deposit: Set up an employee for direct deposit.
Let me know if you have any other payroll concerns, I'm always available to help. Have a great day ahead!
