We have a client who banks with PNC. They charge extra for every little thing.
I need to download transactions into Quickbooks 2017. The Bank Feeds menu says that we downloaded transactions more than 6 months ago (it was tax season - I have no idea what we did or how we did it!). When I try to use the Bank Feeds now I get a window that says the account has to be enrolled in "PNC Bank Direct Connect" and that there's an additional fee.
When I log in on the bank's website, I can download the transactions but only in Excel or CSV format. There's no option to download a .qbo or .iif file. I got into an online chat with PNC and their comment was "Once the statements are downloaded, you can call Quickbooks and they can convert them for you."
So I'd like to know whether or not there is a way to take these CSV files, with a total of well over 1000 transactions, and import them to Quickbooks 2017. I'd really prefer not to have to do all this data entry. Does anyone know what the lady at PNC meant when she said that Quickbooks would convert the Excel or CSV files into .qbo? I just can't imagine that Intuit has the time to do conversions! And if they do, I'm sure the service wouldn't be inexpensive.
