How do I add more bank accounts with same login? Only my existing accounts are populating on the screen to add more accounts (at the same bank).

Do I need to disconnect my current (wanted) accounts and start over for it to recognize more accounts present? I'm afraid to do that without knowing what will happen to all my data.

I can help you add your other bank account in QuickBooks Online, usermanager.

To make sure we're on the same page when you create your new account, did you use the same credentials as your old account? If yes, You'll need to use the same information as your chase and new account login to link the bank accounts.

That said, let's create a new one in your chart of accounts, then connect your bank from there.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Click the New button.
  3. A pop up Account window opens.
  4. For the Detail Type drop-down menu, select Bank
  5. Assign a name and all other information.
  6. Specify whether this is a sub-account of another account.
  7. Provide the Opening Balance of the account.
  8. Click Save and close

Through the chart of account, here’s how to add your bank:

  1. Go back to your Chart of Accounts
  2. Select the new account that you’ve created a while ago.
  3. From the View register drop-down, select Connect bank
  4. Follow the prompts to connect your bank account.

For reference, here's an article: Add an account to your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online

If you want to connect this account for online banking, then you can open this article for the instructions: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online

I'm also adding these articles if you are adding the account as sub-account:

That's it. If you have any other questions or would like me to clarify anything else about adding your bank account, let me know by leaving a comment below. I'm always glad to help in any way I can. Have a good day.

I'd be happy to help you connect more banks with the same login, @usermanager.

To clarify, are they sub-accounts? To connect them to online banking, you need to know how your bank sends the downloaded transactions. If the transactions download to one account, you'll have to connect only the parent account. If the transactions download to the individual accounts, connect the subaccounts and not the parent account.

Once you know how the bank sends the transactions, the instruction below will ensure your success:

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Select Connect Account on the landing page, or select Add account or Link account if you've already created an account.

  3. Search for your bank. You can connect most banks, even small credit unions.
  4. Select Continue. Then enter the username and password you use for your bank's website in the pop-up window. It may take a few minutes to connect. You'll see onscreen instructions if your bank requires additional security steps.
  5. Select the accounts you want to connect (savings, current, or credit card) to QuickBooks. You should see all of your accounts tied to your financial institution and can connect as many as you need.
  6. For each account, select the account type from the dropdown. These are accounts currently on your chart of accounts.
  7. Select the date range for the download. Some banks download the last 90 days of transactions, others go back as far as 24 months.
  8. Select Connect.

In case you're having problems downloading or getting an error, check out this link: What to do if you see a bank error or bank transactions won’t download.

Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns. I'll be here every step of the way.

The new accounts opened are their own, standalone accounts. They do not show up under Chase bank when i go to "link accounts."  I think I may need to change my login to a different Chase login so that the new accounts (as well as the old) show up there.  (I had Chase put all the accounts under a new login together). How do I do that?  I do not want to delete all the info from the old accounts that I am still keeping and using. I just want to add the new accounts.
