How do I connect Wells Fargo account to QBO?

I can access my account via Wellsfargo.com, then I go through the steps to connect WFB, enter my sign-in data, and that specific account does not show up as available to link (all my personal accounts show up, but not this business account.)

You'll have to create an account for your chart of accounts first and link it to your Wells Fargo account. I'm here to help you accomplish this.

 

First off, when adding your bank account to QuickBooks Online banking won't automatically create your account. You'll have to create a new one. To do so:

  1. Go to Accounting.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Click New.
  4. Under Account Type, select Bank.
  5. Choose a detail type of your business account.
  6. Enter Wells Fargo as the name of your new business account.
  7. Click Save and Close.

Once Completed, you can go back and connect your Wells Fargo account to online banking. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Banking.
  2. Select Add account.
  3. Enter Wells Fargo as the name of your bank.
  4. Choose you bank's website.
  5. Type in your bank's login credentials.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Select your newly created Wells Fargo account.
  8. Click Connect.

That was it! Thank you.  Why didn't QBO just tell me that in the first place!?
