How do I import my prior year account backup into quickbooks online

I’d be more than happy to guide you and ensure you’ll be able to import your backup data to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QBO, you'll be able to import your Bank Data, Customers, Vendors, Chart of Accounts, Product and Services, and Invoices. To import them, you can refer to these steps:

1. Go to the Gear icon
2. Click Import data.
3. Choose the type of data you want to import.
4. Select the file you want to import, then click Browse.
5. Check the mapping of your file to ensure a smooth process.
6. Then click Import.

Once you’re done importing your data, you’ll want to run your reports to check if the importing is successful and matches your previous data.

The prior year accounts will be imported from Quickbooks Enterprise 

I am utilizing Quickbooks Online for the current year information and so it will not be imported into a blank quickbooks.

You may utilize a migration tool to speed up your works. i.e TPExporter for Desktop, TPImporter for Online
