How do I reconnect banking account if QB keeps giving me error 103?

I have been working on my EOY reporting for my store and all of a sudden, my online updating stated I need to update my log in information.  So, I went in to the edit function for the account and reentered the username and password for the bank account. It wont connect.
I never changed the information to begin with, and I can log directly into the bank with the same credentials I type in to QBO.
I'm at a loss.  I really need to get this reconnected so I can finish my work.
Any other suggestions out there?

How do I reconnect banking account if QB keeps giving me error 103?

Hello, @driftinggrounds.

The investigation with the Wilmington Savings Fund Society (WSFS), banking error 103 (INV-39848) was already tagged as closed and resolved by our engineers. If you're still getting the same problem, I encourage trying the steps provided in this article: Fix banking error 103.

You can also update your bank by following these steps:

  1. Tap on Banking at the left pane.
  2. Click on Update. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials and select Continue update. You must enter these credentials within 2 minutes of being prompted.

Keep me posted if you have any other banking questions. I'm always here to help. Have a great weekend!

How do I reconnect banking account if QB keeps giving me error 103?

I appreciate you for sharing the details, @driftinggrounds.

The Error 103 means the credentials entered into QuickBooks Online (QBO) don’t match with your financial institution. Can you specify what bank you're trying to reconnect with your QBO account? That way, I can provide you the right information.

Additional details shared is much appreciated. In the meantime, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to resolve this. Let me walk you through to the steps.

In your QBO:

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Select the Banking tab.
  3. Locate the account that generated error 103.
  4. Click the Edit ✎ icon.
  5. Select Edit sign-in info.
  6. Enter your new credentials, then select Update.

Here's an article you can read for more details: Fix banking error 103.

I've also added this article for additional reference: How to manually update an account to fix banking errors.

Also, in case you want to transfer funds between accounts in QBO, you can refer to this article for the detailed steps: Transfer funds between accounts.

Feel free to contact us anytime you need help with banking in your QBO account. I'd be happy to assist you. Take care!

How do I reconnect banking account if QB keeps giving me error 103?

Hello,
The bank I am trying to reconnect is WSFS Bank.  I checked all the credentials on my end and logged into my bank account via their website with the same account information I enter into QBO.  I saw the Fix banking error 103 discussion in the community, but it didn't help me.

I've tried to do updates several times. Only to get the error 103 message.
I disconnected the account completely and have tried to add the account again.
I put in WSFS in the search option and 3 options come up (WSFS Business, WSFS Personal, and Penn Liberty Bank (Now WSFS).
I have tried all three accounts only to have all three of them give me the same 103 error.

I was updating my QBO online yesterday morning just fine.  This happened in the afternoon at some point.  I do not know what changed, but it wasn't my credentials for my bank account.

Help!
THanks

How do I reconnect banking account if QB keeps giving me error 103?

This has already been reported and resolved, Erin.

You'll want to update your password for your bank account to re-establish the connection. Then, reconnect the account using the bank's URL.

Here's how:

  1. Go to your bank's website and log in to your account.
  2. Copy the URL.
  3. Log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  4. On the Banking page, click on Add account.
  5. In the search field, paste the bank's URL.
  6. Under results, click on the bank
  7. Enter your username and the updated password.
  8. Click on Connect.

You can also check out this article for visual guide: How to use Online Banking, Connect Bank Accounts, and Review your Bank Feed in QuickBooks Online.

I've added a handy article on what's next after connecting your bank account in QBO: Assign, categorize, edit, and add your downloaded banking transactions.

How do I reconnect banking account if QB keeps giving me error 103?

I logged into my business banking account and updated my password. I then copied the link that was in my URL and pasted it in the search criteria.  My original bank WSFS did not come up. Some other bank showed up.  I tried my username and new password and I still couldn't get connected.  I then did a new search for WSFS business account and tried logging into the account with the username and new password. Still no luck.

I'm not sure what happened.  I have been using QBO since 2015 with little to no problems.

I've never had an issue in the past linking up my bank accounts.

How do I reconnect banking account if QB keeps giving me error 103?

Disregard previous comment.  I called the bank tech support.  Come to find out they had my account on an older business platform than what is coming up in QBO.  I got a resolution thru the bank. Thank you
