I'll share some options on how you can submit an employee in making a deposit, @dianabanana.

 

If you want to assign a role to your employee to make a deposit, let's perform the steps through the Role List tab.

  1. Go to Company from the top menu. 
  2. Select Users, then click Set Up Users and Roles.
  3. Go to the Role List tab.
  4. Choose Banking from the list. 
  5. Click New.
  6. Enter a Role Name and its Description.
  7. In the Area and Activities section, select Banking and then Deposits
  8. Choose the appropriate access rights in the Activity Access Level section. 
  9. Click OK.

Once done, your employee can make bank deposits in the program. You can also edit a user role in the Role List tab. Then, click View Permissions so you can see a report that lists the user roles and permissions. To learn more about this process, go through this article: Create and Modify Roles

 

If you're trying to set up direct deposit (DD) for your employee, you'll first have to activate DD for your company. Once activated, you must always enter DD bank account information from a check, and not from a deposit slip. This is because the information on a deposit slip isn't valid for direct deposit.

 

Here's how to set up an employee for DD:

  1. Go to Employees from the top menu.
  2. Select Employee Center.
  3. Double-click the employee's name.
  4. Go to the Payroll Info tab, then select the Direct Deposit button.
  5. Choose Use Direct Deposit for [employee's name] in the Direct Deposit window. 
  6. Select whether to deposit the paycheck into one or two accounts.
  7. Enter the employee's financial institution information. 
  8. If you chose to deposit to two accounts, enter the amount or percentage that the employee wants to deposit to the first account in the Amount to Deposit field. The remainder goes to the second account.
  9. Click OK
  10. When prompted, enter your direct deposit PIN.

Once done, you can create DD paychecks for your employee. Then, your payroll must be processed and sent to Intuit before 5 pm PST, two business days prior to your paycheck date.
