Hi there, treasurer98.

You'll see two buttons on the Bank Deposit page. Click the Add amount or you can select the Select existing payments if it's from an existing payment.

  1. Select + and click Bank Deposit.
  2. Under the Choose an account or Deposit Account drop-down arrow, choose the bank account to which you wish to deposit funds or choose Select existing payments
  3. Select Save.

Here's the article for more details: Add a bank deposit in QuickBooks Online mobile.

Post again here if you have more questions. Wishing you all the best!

That refers to QuickBooks Online, not the iPad app. Attached is what I see but can’t figure out how to edit the $0.00 field.

Thanks for providing a screenshot, treasurer98. I can help share some insights as to why you're unable to edit a bank deposit using your iPad.

QuickBooks iOS app is an add-on that we're providing along with QuickBooks Online software. With that said, it has some limited functionalities, bank deposit is one of them wherein we're unable to edit it. For now, we can take this as a product suggestion that might add it to future product enhancements.

In the meantime, I've got two options for you as a workaround. You can either delete and then recreate the deposit. Or you can edit it through the web browser.

You can check our updates and latest happenings via our QuickBooks Blog.

Keep me posted if you have other banking concerns in QuickBooks. I'll be around to help.

We always aim to make QuickBooks fit everyone's business needs. As mentioned by my colleague @GlinetteC, editing a deposit using the iPad app is currently unavailable. You'll want to use the web browser instead to make sure you'll be able to do any changes if there's a need to edit deposits.

On the other, you can check out our feedback page to see if a request has already been submitted. If not, you can submit one to let our product team know. Please take note that any feedback will undergo certain processes. Once materialized or implemented, you'll receive updates whenever the feature is already added or if it's functional in the system.

In addition, QuickBooks downloads the latest transactions automatically. To learn how to match them with the transactions you've already entered in QuickBooks, check this out: Categorize And Match Online Bank Transactions In QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you need further assistance in editing deposits. As always, I'll be right here to help you.
