How does anyone import their shopify transactions?

Hello, premiumteez101-g.

Thanks for joining us here in the Community. I'm here to share some information about importing transactions from Shopify to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Importing transactions from Shopify to QBSE is done through a third-party application. To make sure that you'll get the assistance that you need, I highly suggest reaching out to the Shopify Support Team. They can help you check the configuration of the software and assist you with transferring transactions to QuickBooks.

In the meantime, you can also check out their help article for more information.

That's it! Please let me know how it goes after contacting them. I'm only a post away should you have any follow-up questions. Have a wonderful day, and stay safe!

How does anyone import their shopify transactions?

@premiumteez101-g

I have to find yet any 3rd app or connector to integrate Shopify with QBSE. Consider switching to QBO and you will have many options.

How does anyone import their shopify transactions?

I am running QBO, and the import of Shopify data into QBO fails. The 3 steps in QBO take me up to Step 2 where I the Shopify login dialog comes up. I login, and that's it. Nothing more happens. Can you help ? What am I missing ?

Thanks for getting involved with this thread, iwan-thepotions.

When setting up integration with QuickBooks Online and Shopify, you'll need to initially connect your apps to QuickBooks Connector (OneSaas).

After connecting, you'll need begin the configuration process. You'll need to have some accounting knowledge to make sure your integration settings are tailored to your business and accounting practices. If you're in need of an accountant, there's an awesome tool on our website called Find a ProAdvisor. All ProAdvisors listed there are QuickBooks-certified and able to provide helpful insights for driving your business's success.

Initially, you'll be required to set up the Synchronization Options before you can start configuring workflows.

Set up the following:

  • Account timezone
  • Integrations starting date
  • Email sync report options

You'll be presented with workflows that are optional.

Here's some of them:

  • Sales from Shopify will be sent to QuickBooks as an invoice
  • Payouts from Shopifywill be sent as deposits in QuickBooks
  • Products from Shopify will be created in QuickBooks
  • Stock level updates from QuickBooks will be sent to Shopify

You can use our integration guide to finish setting up your configuration. After you've finished configuring the integration settings, you'll be able to sync data across your apps.

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a great Wednesday!
