Let me provide you the steps on how to change the direct deposit when the bank account isn't verified.
To change it, you can go to the QuickBooks Payroll Account Management Portal.
Here's how:
- Select Employees, and then go to My Payroll Service.
- Choose Accounts/Billing Information.
- Sign in with your Intuit Account login.
- Go to the Payroll Info section. Under Direct Deposit Bank Account select Edit.
- Enter your payroll PIN then select Continue.
- Enter the new bank account details, and then select Update.
- Wait for the confirmation, and then select Close.
You can now update the account that direct deposit paychecks and fees will post to if necessary.
- Select Employees, then Send Payroll Data.
- On the Send/Receive Data window, select Preferences.
- In the Account Preferences, select the new bank account from the dropdown list.
- Select OK to save your changes.
- Select Close on the Send/Receive Data window.
Lastly, verify your new direct deposit bank account.
- Select Employees, then My Payroll Service, then Account/Billing Information.
- Sign in using your Intuit Account login.
- Go to the Payroll Info section, under Direct Deposit Bank Account select Verify.
- Enter and confirm your payroll PIN.
- Select Submit.

- Change the bank account where payroll fees will post in QuickBooks Desktop.
Your bank account is now updated. If you have an assisted payroll, please contact our Payroll Support to change the bank account info instead of following the steps above.
