"I have an worksheet I'd like to import. It's a CSV file as required but I continue to get an error code stating that my file was unable to be exported & to try again. What can I do to fix or are there any alternatives to import a file?"

What kind of transaction data did you need to import?

Hi there, zariousbrittain,

I've got the steps so you can import them to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

First, let's clear the browser's cache to help delete the most recent accessed data stored in this window. Thus, causing this unexpected error upon importing a CSV file.

Next, make sure your file is using the 3-column or 4-column format for the CSV file to ensure the import is successful.

Once done, you can import bank transactions again with no error. Let me show you how:

  1. Open QBSE in a web browser.
  2. Go to Settings .
  3. Click Imports.
  4. Choose the account you want to add the transactions into, then click Import older transactions under Action.

  5. Click Browse and find the file you downloaded from your bank.
  6. Select the file and hit Open to start the import.
  7. Review the column headers and data. Make sure the Date, Description, and Amount columns on the CSV match the columns and order in QuickBooks.
  8. Click Continue to complete the import.

After that, review what you've imported. Then, check for any duplicates and categorize your transactions before putting them in your accounts.

You can also manually add transactions in QBSE to enter your income and expenses.

Let me know how this goes by leaving a comment below. I'm always around whenever you need help.
