I'm doing a bank reconciliation in Enterprise Desktop and when I click the "Match" button, the transactions aren't clearing. What would cause this to happen?

I can see the importance to upkeep your accounts regularly, @pmcdonald1.

If the account that you are reconciling is set up for bank feeds, clicking the Matched button will automatically select all the transactions that were downloaded.

If you are getting the same result even after setting up your bank feeds, it may be caused by data damage. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to resolve this.

You'll need to run the verify/rebuild tool to detect the data damage.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities, and choose Verify Data.
  3. If QuickBooks detected an issue, select Rebuild Now. Some users recommended that rebuilding data thrice fixes data damage.
  4. Click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed."

For more details about adding and matching Bank Feed transactions, refer to this link: Bank Feeds.

Thank you! The data was damaged and once I ran the rebuild, the problem was solved.
