I started a new quickbooks account but I had one before that is going to expire, can I merge information on the old account to my new account?

I can guide you on how to merge your QuickBooks lists or data, @docautollc.

Each QuickBooks Online (QBO) company is created as a separate file. Combining them into one is currently unavailable, but you can manually input the data or move your lists into the company you want to keep.

From your old account, export your list reports to Excel.

  1. Open the account that has your lists.
  2. Select Reports.
  3. Depending on what you need to export, search for them, then open.
  4. Customize the list report’s columns, then tap the export button to bring them to Excel.
  5. Open the exported report, save it again as Excel or CSV.

For additional reference about the process, you can also check out this article: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

Once completed, you can import the data to your new QBO account.

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Import Data.
  2. Select the data or lists you want to import.
  3. Tap Browse. Then, find and select the spreadsheet you saved.
  4. Hit Next, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process.

Also, here's an article you can read more about merging companies, data file, or copy lists.

For older banking transactions, you can also upload them manually using the web connect process. To learn more, you can use these articles:
