Is anyone else having trouble importing miles from Google Timeline?

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to import your miles from Google Timeline, aaron-m-gill.

I've checked here on our end and there's no reported case about this one. We can try importing your miles through a private browser to better isolate is this is a browser issue or not.

Follow these shortcuts key to open a private browser:

  • Google Chrome, press CTRL  + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL  + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press CTRL  + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

Then, make sure you sign in into your Google account where you want to download your Miles from. Just follow the detailed steps in this article to import your trips: Import trips from Google Timeline.

If it works, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. Too much cache results in some browser errors. Also, try to import it using another supported, up-to-date browser.

You can also manually add it to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Miles on the left navigation menu.
  2. Tap Add trip. If this is your first trip, QuickBooks will ask you to complete the fields in the Vehicle info.
  3. Enter the date of the trip.
  4. Then the description. Just include the business purpose and the starting and ending locations.
  5. Enter the mileage.
  6. Hit Save.

I have a link here that provides you with articles about tracking mileage in QBSE and other applications: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/tracking-and-logging/mileage-tracking/08?product=....

Please touch base with me if there's anything else you need, I'll be here to ensure your success. Have a great day ahead.

Ive tried all of this already. I had a ticket open and whoever was on the other end gave up on me and stopped replying.

i think my issue has something to do with the Google Maps update that happened Sept 29, 2019. Thats the date of the last entry i have imported.
