Re: Is Anyone having problems uploading webconnect credit card from Chase? I'm doing the usual ma...

For those in the same situation as me and don't have weeks to wait around. I would some software from moneythumbs.com that converts csv to qbo files, I was able to get all of my transactions imported and happy again. It is $59, I have nothing to do with the company just offering a solution for those that were suck like I was.

Re: Is Anyone having problems uploading webconnect credit card from Chase? I'm doing the usual ma...

Okay, still having problems with the Chase QBO files.  They have corrected the <INTU.BID>2430 issue; however QBDT  Pro 2018 will only read in the first transaction in the file.  If you open the QBO file with notepad and read through script, all the transaction IDs are labeled "none" <FITID>NONE.  Where as before the issue begin b/w Chase & QB all the FITIDs had an unique identifier.  So now when I upload the QBO into QBDT Pro 2018 it only reads the first transaction and then stops.  So at this point, it will be easier to enter each transaction by hand, rather than go through the QBO file and give each <FITID> a unique number.

I'm finding it hard to believe that these two large companies do not have qualified programmers that can figure this out in a matter of hours.  I hope it is resolved soon.  I think Intuit is setting in the best position right now knowing that we can switch financial institutions with just a small amount of discomfort and inconvenience.  But it would be a nightmare to merge to a new accounting software.....

Has there been any progress with this issue? It’s really causing my bookkeeping business a lot of extra work. Is Intuit in touch with Chase credit cards online people? Why does Chase's bank data download but not their credit card data? They are the same QBW files.

Chase credit card QBO file downloads are now working. I just successfully did it on both QB Online and QB Desktop for Windows. Is everyone else finally having success?

Unfortunately, I'm not having the same success.  Yes it recognizes the QBO file as correct format, but it will not import all the transactions;only the first on the list.  Still have all <FITID>NONE.

Did it download all the transactions?  The last time I tried it appeared to download but was missing multiple transactions.

My file comes with 2430 in it already.  Still won't import all of the transactions.

Re: Is Anyone having problems uploading webconnect credit card from Chase? I'm doing the usual ma...

I saw the post indicating the problem was related to the file having NONE as the FITID, whereas in the past each FITID has a unique number.  I tried the below steps and got my file to import all of my transactions:

1:  Open QBO file with Text Editor

2:  Edit:Find and look for NONE.  Click Find Next until you find the first NONE that follows FITID.

3:  As it finds NONE, replace each NONE with a unique number.  I just went numerically 1-67 in my case.  This took me 5 minutes start to finish.

4:  Save file and import normally.

I hope this helps others.

Thanks DougP.

However, if you have multiple accounts with each account having 200+ transactions, this could be very time consuming.

Also, you will need unique FITID identifiers for future uploads as to not replicate previous transaction IDs.  So a unique FITID would be something like DATE+Sequential#.  i.e. [removed], [removed], [removed], 20190206n.  This will keep it from not recognizing new transactions next week when you use the same 1-n identifiers.  Make sense?

Hi there, @arsurveyor.

Allow me to join the thread and help share additional information about downloading transactions from Chase bank.

As mentioned by my colleagues above, there's an ongoing issue with missing transactions when downloading bank transactions from Chase bank. The workaround provided by our experienced member DougP may work for some users and yes, it may be time consuming for other users as well. However, our product engineers are currently working with your bank for an immediate fix.

I'll update this thread as soon as we receive updates from our engineering team.

Stay in touch if you have any other banking concerns, I'll be right here to help. Have a wonderful day ahead!

Re: Is Anyone having problems uploading webconnect credit card from Chase? I'm doing the usual ma...

I agree that using the workaround for multiple accounts, each with 200+ transactions, would be time consuming.  In my case it is far less time consuming than entering the transactions.

As for the unique FITID, I've imported 2 months of data using this method and used the same number sequence for the 2 imports.  They both worked fine.  I don't know whether Quickbooks uses that FITID in the background somewhere or whether it's just a sequencing method for the current import.  That said it wouldn't take any more time to enter 1218 and then a sequence number.

Thanks for the input.

Re: Is Anyone having problems uploading webconnect credit card from Chase? I'm doing the usual ma...

As far as I'm concerned the issue with Chase Credit Card/QBO files is resolved. To be sure, I think the problem was Chase's, not Intuit's. For the last two weeks it didn't on any computer I tried, and I tried several--either mine or my clients'. It also didn't work with QB Online. This was definitely a global issue with Chase. I also noticed that it began to occur right after they updated their download interface. The transition was glitchy and QB users took the brunt of it. Now for the last several days the download interface is proven to be functional again on all the computers I previously tried and on QB Online. I assume that Chase has repaired the glitch. So if you're a QB user, I wouldn't try implementing all of these Intuit patches or investing in some other way to download transactions. Happy downloading!

Re: Is Anyone having problems uploading webconnect credit card from Chase? I'm doing the usual ma...

Hello we have exactly the same issue, importing any account transaction with .QBO files.

I tried all fixes mentioned in the thread above to no avail.
<INTU.BID> is correct, 2430,
I have unique FITID identifiers Not followed by any NONE
I also compared the current QBO file with an older one that worked in the past, no difference other than <ORG>, i change that to the old value, also to no avail.

I have used Quickbooks for well over 10 years now and always imported transactions from Chase with no problem, seeing this topic open and unfixed since February this year is a bit discouraging.

Any idea what we can do next?

Hi @roedel,

I appreciate you for providing more details about what you've tried on your end. I'm here to provide the help you need and guide you to the right support to get you back in business.

Let's import your bank transactions using the Web connect (.QBO) files. To do so, see the steps below:

  1. In QuickBooks Online, go to the Banking menu, then select the Banking tab.
  2. Select the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Select the small arrow ▼ icon by the Update button, then select File upload.

If you're still getting the same result, I suggest getting in touch with our QuickBooks Online Support Team. This way, they have tools that can pull up your account in a secure environment and help you determine what cause of the issue.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Click the Help icon on the top right.
  2. Select Contact Us button at the bottom.
  3. Enter a short description of your concern.
  4. Choose Let's talk.
  5. Select from Chat or Get a callback.

Thanks for your patience. If you need further assistance with the workaround, just let me know. I'm here whenever you need more help.

Secure environment? I dont need that!

I have issues importing a standard format into a standard software like many other users all over the web.

It is very frustrating that after so many month (starting early 2019) the problem still persists and the solution/root cause is not mentioned anywhere in the official Quickbooks support forums.
