QuickBooks Online connects to your bank to automatically download transactions. Please note that this will depend on your bank and allow you to download transactions for up to 90 days, Rose.
To include transactions from other previous months in QuickBooks, you need to get your data from your bank's website using the supported file types and then upload it. Here's how:
- On the left panel, choose the Transaction tab.
- Select Bank transactions and click the Link account dropdown.
- Tap Upload from file, then select your files.
- Follow the onscreen instructions and select a QuickBooks account for the bank file you want to upload.
- Match the columns on the file with the banking fields in QuickBooks and hit Continue.
- Check all the transactions, then click Continue.
Here are the file types you can use:
- Comma-separated values (CSV)
- Quicken (QFX)
- QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Microsoft Money (OFX)
