The Match option is used to find similar transactions between the one you entered and downloaded from the bank. This is to avoid any duplicates hence needs also to use the same bank account.
You'll need to exclude the transfer to the payment in the different accounts to fix this.
However, I recognize your need for this feature, and I'm taking note of it so I can pass it along here on my end.
While there's no definite time on when this will become available, you'll want to learn how to match and categorize bank transactions in QuickBooks Online through checking this article: Match and Categorize bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Hi John,
When I set up the connection to my bank, it automatically connected to my Corporate Card and to my Corporate Account. This has been a brain freeze for me, as the two accounts are in conflict--some user error, too as I might transfer funds to one or the other. It looks like making the card account a sub-account of the parent Corporate Account will solve much of this. Should I assume that any payments toward this account, transfers, etc. should be to the corporate account? With card transactions accurately recorded under the card?
Thank you,
MM
Hi, @MillyG5280,
I'm glad to see you here in the Community.
If the credit card and the bank account you use to pay the credit card expense are connected, you can enter the payment by transferring the record.
Here's how:
Once you're done with the transfer of the transaction, you can match it with the new account.
Also, you can check this article to learn more about recording payments: Record credit card payments.
I’m just a post away if you need anything else. Have an awesome day.
