Should QBO download bank transactions daily?

Yes, QBO automatic transaction update starts at a schedule(normally, beginning at about 10 pm Pacific time).

But Your bank information sharing process may lead to some delay in updating transactions sometimes.

Once you are connected and the account is configured, QuickBooks Online downloads your bank data automatically, usually each evening.

If you have already connected your bank accounts, you can manually update your accounts by following these steps:

1. From the left menu, select Banking.

2. On the Banking page, select Update.

Is there a way to turn up the verification code feature on a client's books?  My client and I work very different hours and therefore I can only update her banking and review transactions 50% of the time I try because she's not available to send me the bank code.

Currently, the bank's verification code is sent to either the account owner's registered email address or phone number. Also, this security innovation is asked by the Bank, and QuickBooks is unable to customize it.

In the meantime, the only way that you can get the code is through your client.

How do I get QBO to download automatically?  I have to use update button every time.  Would like for it to update daily in the morning after bank has completed transactions from day before.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) automatically updates your bank feeds nightly. It also depends on your bank if there are some delays in updating the transactions.

We can perform some troubleshooting steps if the download seems slow or stuck. Let me guide you how in your QBO account:

1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
2. Select Add Account.
3. Search for your bank and select it.
4. Copy the URL listed in the window.
5. Sign in using your bank username and password.
