I've single transaction appearing into quickbooks for which I need to split them for various expenses, bills and payroll. I've tried it with split option but it doesn't work.
Please guide me with regards to splitting a single amount into multiple transactions.
Welcome to the Community, @Kridhar.
Splitting bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is pretty easy. This can be done by going to the Banking page. Please refer to these steps:

Hi @FritzF ,
I do agree and know that transaction can be splitted going into banking tab and split transaction. But what if they're of different nature as said in my last conversation. For example, out of $30,000 appearing in spent side of bank, $15K is for salary, $10K is for payment of bill and $5K is for advance to supplier. So, I can make the payment of salary but I'm unable to locate it to the outstanding bills(by name of supplier).
Can you guide me in this regard?
I appreciate the details that you gave, @Kridhar.
Allow me to provide additional insights about splitting expense transactions in QuickBooks Online.
When splitting expense entries in QuickBooks Online, the system only allows you to select one payee. Being able to choose multiple names are only available for income transactions.
To get your work done, you can exclude the downloaded bank transactions, then add and clear them manually. This way, you'll be able to split and reconcile the said entries.
Here's how you can exclude them:
I've got some links that can guide you in reconciling your accounts and fix reconciliation issues. Feel free to check them out:

Thanks alot @BettyJaneB for getting into this.
Yes, you got the situation and exactly caught where I was facing issue.
However, I don't want to exclude the transaction and delete it and manually enter them as desired. As these will certainly won't be matching with my banking transaction. Can you help/guide other way?
?
Hello there, @Kridhar,
I've read your conversations above, and you've mentioned that the expenses, bills, and payroll are of different nature. With this, splitting a single bank transaction for them is currently unavailable. It's because we're able to select only one payee when splitting them in the For Review tab.
As a workaround, I'd still suggest excluding the downloaded bank transaction. Then, manually enter those entries in your register and clear them. Doing so will help you reconcile your bank account properly. Just perform the steps provided by BettyJaneB above.
In the meantime, I recommend visiting this website: QuickBooks Online Blog. This is the place where we share our new features and product innovations.
Once reconciled, you can run the Reconciliation Report. It lets you view the beginning, ending balances, cleared, and uncleared transactions within a reconciliation period. You can also print and export it. For more details, visit this article: Generate Reconciliation Report.
You can count on me if there's anything else you need. Take care always, @Kridhar.
