Unreconcile 2 years

Hello there, @suesheldonconsul. Welcome to the Community.

Currently, there isn't a direct way to unreconcile 2 years' worth of transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO). However, there are two options that you can choose from. You can either manually unreconciled each transaction or invite your accountant to undo the reconciliation for you.

If you opt to manually unreconcile each transaction, here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Choose the account you’re working on, and click on View register under the Actions column.
  4. Select the transactions you want to unreconcile.
  5. Keep on clicking the R status until it shows blank or cleared (C).
  6. Click Save.
  7. Choose Yes in the confirmation window.

If you want to let your accountant undo the reconciliation for you, you'll first have to invite them to access your account. This is because the Undo a reconciliation feature is specifically designed for the QBO Accountant platform.

Once unreconciled, you're now set to start over the reconciliation process. For the step-by-step guide, you can refer to this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Also, here's an article that'll further guide you in the reconciliation workflow and making sure that the amounts and transactions in QuickBooks match your real-life bank and credit card statements: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks. It also includes details about fixing and editing completed reconciliations.

Let me know how it goes in the comments below. If you have other reconciliation concerns or inquiries about managing your transactions in QBO, I'm just around to help. Take care always.
