We're here to get your bank account connected, tomkatamail.

QuickBooks Online asks these some "memorable information" because it is one of the requirements from your bank. It is set up to build a secure banking connection.

From your bank's website, go to your profile and enter the information. Then, go back to QuickBooks and connect the account again.

  1. Go to the Banking page.
  2. Select Connect account or
  3. Enter the bank's website and sign in.
  4. Follow the instruction to connect the account.

We'll be right here to help you more of banking connection questions. Please let us know if you need anything else.

Actually, turned out that Quickbooks doesn't have ability to connect that specific bank I wanted to connect. Because that account was the personal account!

Thank you for updating us, tomkatamail.

You have another option though. But first, I'd like to add a disclaimer statement: Mixing of personal and business funds is not allowed. I'd recommend reaching out to your accountant first before you proceed.

The other option is to download your transactions from your bank's website and upload them to the Banking page. When you do this, please be sure to select the supported Web connect file type to successfully upload them.

The article about manually uploading transactions contains the list of supported file types and can guide you through this process.

After uploading, you can match and categorize your bank transactions.
