Why am I not getting the pop up to save my recurring transactions one time or save all of them?

Recurring transactions are set up as reminders and I enter them from my dashboard. After they're entered, I go back in and edit them and save. I used to get a pop up for "one time" or "save future" transactions. All of a sudden, there is no pop up and my recurring transactions are the old ones.

Hi toni6!

I understand that you need to update the template when you edit the transaction created from the recurring template. I'm here to help you with it.

Upon checking, the Update the recurring template pop-up is still available. Capture.PNG

We need to make sure that we edit the right transactions. Another possible reason for this behavior is the browser. You'll want to use an incognito window and edit them from there. These are some of the shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

Incognito won't save site data so you can access QuickBooks Online smoothly. Also, you'll want to clear the cache to fix browser-related errors. Lastly, make sure that you're using an up-to-date browser cause the old versions can cause issues too.

I've added some links you can check. These will explain how to fix common errors with recurring transactions:

Keep on posting here if you need anything else. I'm looking forward to assisting you again.

Alex, apparently Intuit is having a problem with this pop up on recurring transactions.  They tell me that they're working on it and I would get an email when they have fixed the problem.  I haven't heard from them yet.  It has nothing to do with my computer.

Hi there,@toni6.

Thank you for sending us feedback. I understand that you're still encountering the same issue on your recurring transactions.

Rest assured, you will receive an email about any updates on your case. Also, you can callback QuickBooks Online Support and provide the case ID number in reference to your previous call.

You can maximize the first answer in this article: Setup Recurring Payments in QuickBooks Online. It'll help you set up recurring payments.
