Why do I keep getting a Bank Alert in my Banking section, telling me that QBO and my bank are working to fix my connection, and the notice is from before I signed up?

Hey there, @Odin Star Industries.

To resolve, you can sign in to your bank's website and check if there are any new terms of service, announcements about maintenance, or recent offer.

Pleased ensure that no pending notifications from your online banking account.

If you still getting an alert, this might cause by the security of the Bank. Let me provide some steps to sort out this unexpected behavior.

To start, try logging in on a private or an incognito window. Here’s how:

  •     Google Chrome, press CTRL + Shift + N
  •     Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL + Shift + P
  •     Internet Explorer: press CTRL+ Shift + P
  •     Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If works, delete or disable cache on your regular browser to function more efficiently. Switching to a different browser would also help to fix this.

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. This way, they can check this further to confirm the issue.

I'm getting an alert because there are serious issues importing from Bank of America--there were issues with it when I signed up and when I connected my accounts, so it was a known issue and no one told me anything about it. So far I am incredibly disappointed in this service.

Hey there, @Odin Star Industries.

The data downloaded into the QuickBooks system will depend on the information shared by your bank. Any security updates or maintenance from your financial institution's website will affect the connection of our program.

If there are problem with the connection, I highly recommend performing a manual update to refresh the connection.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Banking on the left panel.
  2. Click on the Banking link.
  3. Select the account you’re working on.
  4. Next, click on the Update button.

If you encounter a specific error message, it would be best sharing the information here for us to determine the cause based on the code.

Please visit the What to do if bank transactions won’t download or there's a bank error article. It provides information about how you can get back on track with the connection from your bank.
