Reactivate bank account

In trying to correct a bank syncing problem, I accidentally closed my business accounts.  How can I reactivate them?  Thank you!

I'm here to help share information about connecting bank accounts in QuickBooks Self-Employed.


To start, I'd like to verify if you mean to say by accidentally closed your account is you've disconnected it into your QBSE account?


If yes, to reconnect bank account, here's what you'll need to do:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select Bank Accounts.
  3. In the search box, enter the name or the URL of your bank.
  4. Enter the sign-in info you use at your bank's website and select Connect securely.

Once done, I'd recommend you to contact our Customer Care support. This is for you to request to retrieve your old transactions.


To contact us, here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
  2. Click Assistant at the top right.
  3. Type talk to human.
  4. Choose your preferred support method.
