I am in the process of connecting all my accounts in QBO. I have several accounts that are Loans; however, when I connect the bank feeds, I'm only allowed to select "Bank" or "Credit Card". I am trying to recategorize each of these accounts within the Chart of Accounts so that they are properly defined as Loans/Notes Payable - but I get the following error message:
This account is being used on a Check, Deposit, Payment or other transaction where an account of type 'Cash' or 'Undeposited Funds' is required. You must locate and change those transactions to use a different Cash account before you can change the Account Type of this account. To find the transactions using an Account, run an Account QuickReport, or use the Account Register.
At the moment, the option to re-categorize accounts as Loans for Online Banking is unavailable. If you wish to have this feature soon, we'd appreciate if you can send this as a product suggestion straight to our product developers. All request will be reviewed by our product engineers for future product enhancements. I'll make sure to do the same thing on my end.

For now, you can use the the WebConnect option which they can manually add the transactions in QuickBooks Online.
