Is it possible to change the "transaction type" in a recurring transaction? I have similar transactions from the same vendor but some are listed as an expense, some are listed as a check, and some are listed as a bill. I don't think it matters in the scheme of things, but I'm trying to clean up my books. Thoughts?
As of the moment, there isn't an integrated way of changing the type of recurring transactions. You'll have to delete and manually recreate the template to change its transaction type. You can read through this article to learn more: Create recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online.
