Split deposits being counted twice in register- affecting bank balance

I hope this makes sense.... I am recording split deposits and they are showing up in my register twice. Once as the total deposit amount. And again as the 2 separate amounts that equal the total. Even though the total amount is not "cleared" (the two individual deposits are cleared), it is affecting my bank balance as counting the deposits twice. I have attached a printout of what is happening. Hopefully, there is a simple fix as this goes back to the beginning of 2020.
