The automatic Import from my bank is not importing deposits and transfers from others into my accounts or transfers to others out of my account. Should it report this?

Which financial institution are you using for online banking? Are you getting any error messages during the update? This way, we can check with our engineers if there any reported issues similar to your bank.

 

There are a few reasons for unexpected banking issues in QuickBooks Online. Please check the list below.

 

  • The bank recently made some changes with their security feature or connection.
  • Log in credentials set up in QBO doesn't match with the online banking login.
  • QuickBooks Online is unable to connect to your bank's website.

 

I suggest refreshing the connection of your bank transactions by clicking the manual Update button.

 

Here's how:

 

1. Click Banking at the left panel. Then, the Banking section.

2. Click to highlight the account you're updating, then hit the Update button.

 

If the issue persists, I recommend checking your bank's website. There may be an issue on their end and it loses connection with QBO every time there are updates. You can refer to this article to see the steps: What to do if bank transactions won’t download or there's a bank error.


If the problem continues to occur, you'll need to manually import those deposits and transfers. You can click this article on how to perform the steps: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. After that, transactions that are missing will add to your Online banking.
