If you can't get a QBO file you can convert your CSV file into on using our BRC Excel to OFX/QFX/QBO Converter

Hi Darryl Arter,

I'm glad to see you reaching out to the Community. I can provide clarification about importing a web connect files in QuickBooks Desktop.

The instruction you've followed to upload transactions via File Upload is only for the Online version of QuickBooks. For Desktop users, you can import the data through the File tab menu at the top.

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Click the File tab at the top menu bar.
  3. Select Utilities.
  4. Select Import.
  5. Click Web Connect Files.

For your visual guide on this, please check this out:

If you need the support article with detailed instructions, you can visit the support article below:

Import web connect (.qbo) files.

I want to ensure that you're able to import successfully, so please feel free to let me know how it goes. If you should have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

That is what I was suspecting but I could not find documentation to make it clear.  The solution you are proposing needs a qbo file? I have a csv file.

Yes, Darryl Arter.

You'll need the WebConnect (.qbo) file when importing bank transactions into QuickBooks Desktop.

The following article will provide more information: Download Bank Feed Transactions.

Let me share this article for future reference: Get started with Bank Feeds for QuickBooks Desktop.

If you have any follow-ups or other questions, just let me know in the Comment section. I'm here to help. Have a good one.
