I've checked our records and saw some requests to have this feature added, Locowise-qb0. Our engineers are already reviewing this option.

The more request a feature has, the more likely it'll be added in future updates. I'll help you with sending another one to our management team. They're taking notes of our customers' feedback and ideas and submit them to our software engineers.

In the meantime, you can follow the suggestions provided by my colleagues to connect Etsy to QuickBooks Online. Or, you can manually import the transactions using Excel CSV files.

Welcome to the Community, @locowise-qb0. You can only connect your Etsy account within QuickBooks Online (QBO) using third-party software. This option will link those two programs together.

I'll show you how:

  1. In your QBO account, click the Apps tab on the left menu and go to the Find Apps tab.
  2. Look for the Etsy app in the Search field.
  3. Click the Get app now button.
  4. In a new tab, click the Connect button.
  5. Enter the Etsy login credentials, then finish the integration.

I'd recommend reaching out to the Etsy Support should you need more assistance in integrating the products.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm always around to help at any time.

The "Apps" are all third-party integrations.

There's a first-party integration available in QB SE that adds Etsy as a connected bank account.

I found QB SE too basic for my needs so I upgraded to QBO. However, the Etsy integration isn't shown in QBO.

It doesn't make sense to me that the Etsy integration is available in QBSE, but not QBO.

Please see the attached screenshots.

Thank you for your help!

Thank you for getting back to this thread, @locowise.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed, you can connect your Etsy account directly on the banking page. However, in QuickBooks Online, you need to integrate this as a third-party app. Check out the screenshots below to find the app. You can also refer to the steps given by my colleague KatherinejoyceO.

For additional reference, you can use the following article to manually upload transactions into QuickBooks. Download Transactions from Your Bank or Credit Cards.

I appreciate the responses, but these suggestions are workarounds using paid 3P apps.

The question was: why isn't the (free) Etsy <-> QB SE bank connection available in QBO?

Please consider this a feature request.

Thanks again for your help!

Has this gotten any resolutions? or are we still waiting on this integration?.. it does not make sense for one platform to offer the integration and not the other.

Thanks for following this thread, luster in faith.

For now, we haven't received any updates yet regarding the integration of Etsy bank for QuickBooks Online.

You may consider the workaround provided from the previous replies to manually import the transactions into QBO. I've listed our supported file formats below:

  • Comma-Separated Values (CSV)
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Quicken (QFX)

If you have any other banking concerns, please do add them below. I'll be glad to assist.

@luster in faith

For the time being, utilize the starter plan of this connector for free.
