These payments have been matched up but still keep appearing. What did I do wrong? Why do they need a category assigned?

You've reached the right place for help, CatClaws.

Let's get this straightened out and make sure the matched transactions will no longer appear as if it needs to be categorized in your banking page.

We can start by accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

Kindly use either of the following shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

Here's an article that you might find helpful when matching and managing your downloaded transactions: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

If it does, you may want to clear the browsing history of your regular web browser. This will remove previously stored browsing data that might have caused the issue. Otherwise, you can try using other supported browsers to be thorough.

For additional resources about managing your banking transactions, you can check out the topics from this link: Find help with bank feeds and reconciling accounts for QBO.

Please let me know how else I can help you with your categorized transactions by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Have a good one!

Thank you for your assistance!! That solved the problem!  I'm fairly new to QBO and still don't have the program down pat!

I appreciate the quick reply as well!
