Trying to export the company file from QBO to import into TurboTax but says I need to use Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer doesn't exist anymore. What can I do?

Hello, @info799.

Currently, there isn't a direct way to export your QuickBooks Online (QBO) data to TurboTax.

In the meantime, you can convert your (QBO) account to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). From there, you can transfer your data to TurboTax.

To get started, you'll need to download a trial version of QuickBooksDesktop (QBDT).

Once that's taken cared of, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Export Data under the Tools column.
  3. Choose your reason, then click Continue.
  4. Click Learn more under Moving to QuickBooks Desktop section, then Learn more again on the Download company data section.
  5. Hit Install ActiveX Control Now, then click Get Started.
  6. Select Install for the ActiveX control, then choose to Install ActiveX Control Now to confirm the installation.
  7. Click Continue, then choose the date you want to export
  8. Choose Continue.
  9. Enter the necessary information and hit Continue again.

For detailed information, you can check out this article: How do I import QuickBooks data into TurboTax Business?

Also, I've attached this article about the conversion process of QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT): Limitations when you convert from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.
