Join nowI want to redo reconciliations for all of 2018.
How come not all the bank transactions appear to be reviewed/matched
when I press the Update button.
Hi there, JB25.
I appreciate you bringing this matter to my attention. I'm here to ensure your concern with reconciliation and bank transactions get resolved.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) offers smart suggestions to match your downloaded transactions to speed up the work for you. QBO will see this as a possible Match as long as all criteria are met.
As a reference, you can check out this article: Add and match downloaded banking transactions.
Otherwise, you can manually search for transactions to match if QBO is unable to find the correct one. Here's how:
To help you with the process, I've attached some screenshots below.
On the other hand, you'll have to manually undo a reconciliation for the year 2018 via the register. Just open the register and change the status to unreconcile. Here's a great article for further guidance: Change a transaction status or undo a reconciliation.
If you want, you can also reach out an accountant to help with the reconciliation. QBO for Accountant has the ability to undo multiple reconciliations without manually editing individual transactions from within the register.
That should do it. I'm confident this answers your concern. Let me know if there's anything else you need. I'll be around to help.
where is my chart of accounts
where is my expenses
Welcome and thanks for joining this conversation, @Anonymous.
Allow me to chime in and help walk you through locating your chart of accounts and expenses in QuickBooks.
If you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO), this can be done by going to the Gear icon at the top, then select Chart of Accounts under Your Company column.
For QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), go to the Company menu at the top, then choose Chart of Accounts on drop-down (or press Ctrl + A on your keyboard for the shortcut).
Once pulled up, scroll down to locate your expense accounts. Then click Run Report (for QBO) or double-click (for QBDT) to see your expense transactions.
That should get you pointed in the right direction. For more information, you can also check out these articles for future reference:
Please leave a comment if you have any other questions. As always, I'll be here should you need further assistance. Cheers!
