We have existing inventory that did not import to QBO. Why did this happen and how do I fix this?
It's possible that the inventory was not checked or selected when the file was imported, accounting303.
You can re-import the same file, then only select the missing inventory so it gets added in your account. Here's how:
Click the Gear icon and select Import Data.
Select Products and Services.
Click Browse and look for the same file.
Make sure the data if mapped correctly, the click Next.
Look for the inventory item and make sure it's the only one that's checked.
Click Import and wait for the confirmation message that the file was imported successfully.
Once done, you can run a report to verify that your inventory records are already correct. Just go to the Reports menu and select either the Physical Inventory Worksheet or the Inventory Valuation Summary report.
