Hello; For the last few years, I've thankfully been able to import downloaded web files from the Online Business Bank Account (in my case, Suntrust soon to be Truist, a southern USA Bank). I want to preface this that I have not received any message, notification or anything in regards to any updates from my Bank about file changes etc. Also: this error only happens for one of my 3 accounts that I import to QB. The other 2 import fine.
How I do this is using the menu bar > Banking > Bank Feeds > Import Web Connect File. I select the file I wanted to import, and when I import, I got this message below:
Quickbooks found an error. We can't read the file your Financial Institution sent. Trouble shooting Guide
Error Code: OL-222
What should I do, if anything?
Currently, we don't have a similar case reported about the OL-222 from Suntrust Bank.
This is error is often caused by when you try to import one or more characters in .QBO file that isn't compliant with the Open Financial Exchange (OFX) standard for exchanging financial data with QuickBooks. Sometimes, it's an incorrect format of your .qbo file.
Below are the possible reasons why you're getting the QuickBooks banking error OL-222:
Once done, rectify the .QBO file format and try to import the transactions again.
If the problem persists, you can visit this article and follow the next troubleshooting steps (proceed to Solution 3): Error: OL-222 after downloading a Web Connect file from an approved bank.
Please post here again after contacting us. I want to make sure this is taken care of and I'll be right here if you need any help with QuickBooks. Stay safe!
@Fia found out meanwhile that Suntrust/Truist is aware of the issue and it is connected to something with checks. They are working on the issue and right now only manual workaround is possible on those dates that have check transactions.
I am having same issue and tried all the trouble shooting steps. OL-222. it worked fine and all of a sudden it is giving me error now . Just wondering if anyone has any update from suntrust/Truist. I have problem with only one company file. Other company files also gets feed from Suntrust but they work fine so not sure what the problem is

I have the same issue. I have followed all the disable and able.. two of my Suntrust accounts are connected and will download, the one main account will not. Now when I try to reconnect the account, it will not let me. It asks me to change my passowrd, when I try, it tells me wrong password. I have tried calling the help number. Can someone please contact me asap?
I have already followed all the steps to try to correct the Suntrust bank error OL-222 and stil nothing. I am still noy able to download the transactions. The QBDT bank info will not save the banking information. It keeps putting other informatioon in the bank info section. (the acct ID)
I appreciate the steps you've performed trying to fix the issue, @Sweddington.
