Wesbanco Direct Connect

Wesbanco upgraded their system on Aug 2, the new system requires a Company ID, User ID and Password.  When trying to connect the Wesbanco DC will not accept the User ID and Password.  Also the Wesbanco has zzz before the name.  Wesbanco's reply is contact Quickbooks.  Does anyone know of a solution for this issue?

Welcome to the Community, rpmickel!

Having zzz before a bank's name indicates an outdated link or the bank is no longer supported. Let me help you fix this.

You'll want to update your Financial Institutions Directory (FiDir) to update your bank's link (URL). Remember to back up your file first, as stated in the hyperlinked article.

If it's still the same, please contact our QuickBooks Support. Usually, we recommend waiting a few days, but since it’s been more than a week, feel free to contact them if updating the directory doesn’t show a new link with the new login requirements.

In case it takes more days to update the link, you can temporarily upload your bank transactions.

  1. Open a web browser and go to your bank’s website.
  2. Sign in to your bank account using your normal process.
  3. Download your transactions as a QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) file.

Note: Every bank has a different method for downloading QuickBooks Web Connect files. If you're not sure how to do it, visit your bank's website and look for their steps. If you can't find any, reach out to your bank for help.

  4. Once you have the Web Connect file, follow the steps to import it into QuickBooks Desktop.

I'm only one post away if you need anything else. We want to make sure you are able to do your tasks with ease. Take care!
