Hi there!

A couple things:

1. Make sure you entered the amount exactly correct

2. Make sure you physically entered the deposit in you quickbooks file.

3. Make sure you didn't accidentally deposit it a different checking or savings account

Let me know if that helps.  If not come back and ask again!

I never had to physically enter the deposit manually in QB before. Upon starting QB, it connects to the bank account, and if there are any deposits in the account, it would list them "For Review". But my latest deposit did not show in the list although it was showing in the connected bank account for days.

**Update** - it just showed up, over three days later. That kind of delay never occurred before - there must have been a problem with QB online.

Hello there, @kconklin1.

It's good to hear that your bank transactions are now showing up in QuickBooks Online.

I'd like to add some insights on what is the best thing to do if you're not able to see your bank transactions in the system.

QuickBooks Online is dependent on the entries that are transmitted from your financial institution. If transactions are not showing up in QBO, it would be best to run a manual update. This helps refresh the connection and loads new data from your bank.

To do that:

  1. Click on Banking in the left pane.
  2. Select the bank account that you're working with.
  3. Hit on Update.

To give you more details about this process, please see this link: What to do if bank transactions won’t download or there's a bank error.

You can also use these articles that I've attached below about matching and categorizing your bank transactions in QBO. This can help you reconcile your accounts smoothly:

That was not the issue. The funds were showing in the connected bank account right in that QuickBooks banking window. I did a manual refresh over and over with no change to the fact that the deposit (already indicated in the connected bank account - indicated within QB, that is) was not showing up in the "for review" list.

Suddenly after 3+ days it finally did show up. Note that they typically show up immediately after the bank is updated and the deposits show up in the connected account.

Unless the bank can transmit the updated balance, but not the transactions that affected/modified that balance, then it certainly did not seem like a problem with the bank. Strange that in the years I have been using QuickBooks, that has never happened before.
