Where do I import Excel files into QB online?

I'll be delighted to guide you in importing Excel files into QB online, geoff1450.

We can import your item list in half the time with QuickBooks Online's Import feature. Before diving in, we'll have to keep in mind that once a list is imported, it can't be undone anymore. Also, we can only import a maximum of 1,000 rows at a time. I recommend splitting up your list into smaller files if it's longer than that.

Here's how to import your data:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then choose Import Data.
  2. Select appropriate tile.
  3. On the Import products and services page, select Browse.
  4. Find and select your Excel file.
  5. Select Open, then hit Next.
  6. Map your information, then click Next.
  7. Select Overwrite all values for each product or service with the same name.
  8. Hit the Import button.

I've also listed the things that can be imported to QuickBooks Online:

  • Bank Transactions (CSV, QFX, QBO, or OFX format)
  • Customers and Vendors (EXCEL, CSV format)
  • Chart of Accounts (EXCEL, CSV format)
  • Products and Services (EXCEL, CSV format)
  • Invoices (CSV only)

To learn more about this process, I encourage you to visit this article: Import data from Excel.

As always, I'm just one post away if you need more help in importing your data to QBO.
