Why are credit card account purchases coming from bank feed as "received"?

The linked bank credit card is from Huntington Bank. It is an Huntington Voice credit card. There is nothing on their website about any issues. Excluding the purchases and then updating the QBO bank account as the QBO Team suggested did not work. When I did this, no transactions came from the bank feed. What can I do to fix this problem?

You'd got me here, and I will ensure that you'll be able to download a transaction from your connected bank in QuickBooks Online.   

 

 Let's logging your account using Private window/ Incognito mode. Cache and internet files disrupt and cause unusual behavior.   

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. These caches of data are essentially junk files and can be safely deleted to free up storage space. Otherwise, switch or use a different browser.

This problem has been identified by Huntington and they claim to be "working" on it as of 02/05/2021.  Our records show the first purchases being presented as credits beginning on 01/29/2021.   It is amazing to me that there are not others posting about this issue as it has been occurring for three weeks now and should be a simple fix.  

 

No disrespect to the "community" fixers, but your suggestions are simply not viable.  What users seek is an ultimate resolution to the issue, not time wasting measures that have not been proven to resolve the issue.   I would suggest that if you have not spoken directly to Huntington that you do not comment on this thread as it will only clutter up the thread and not resolve the issue.  The fix must come from Huntington and Huntington alone.  QBO is working correctly for other accounts at Huntington and also for other banks with other businesses that I manage via QBO.  

 

For what it is worth, I placed a call to the Huntington Credit Card support line again on 02/18/2021, but the representative was only able to advise that they are aware of the issue, no status update is available.  I requested and escalation and was advised that I would receive a call back today, but that has not yet happened.

Quick update here since the QB people don't ever follow up on known issues...

 

The incorrect classification of Huntington Business Voice Credit Card transaction appears to have been corrected by at least 02/16/2021.  QBO users should now be able to exclude the transactions that were downloaded as credits when they should have been charges to the account.  You will, unfortunately, need to manually download the prior several weeks of transactions and upload the file manually.
