Why does accepting multiple transactions still create duplicate register entries?

Support has said that they've been looking into this for the last 8 months, but still no update? Isn't the whole point of QBO to automate bookkeeping? (Seems hard when transactions need to be accepted one at a time.)

Why does accepting multiple transactions still create duplicate register entries?

Hello there, @Uammannaq.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Allow me to help share some troubleshooting steps to get this sorted.

It's possible that this issue is browser-specific. One way to check is to try accepting those transactions in a private browser.

Please refer to these steps:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If it doesn't create duplicate entries on the register, then let's try clearing the cache. It can help remove old files that the browser is trying to use which can cause access problems.

For steps to clearing the cache, choose your browser below:

If you get the same result, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Online Support. They'll be able to locate your account and check the updates about this case.

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Go to https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact#.
  2. Select your QuickBooks product at the top right.
  3. Select a topic.
  4. Click the green Get Phone Number or Start a Message button.

The phone support agents will be able to assist you in getting this resolved.

That should get you back on track.
