For first-time users, your initial batch of payments may take up to 5 business days to be deposited. The timing of future deposits will depend on the specific service and payment method you select.
These early deposits take longer while we set up and finalize your merchant account. After this initial period, your deposits typically process within two business days.
However, if you have an American Express ESA account, your payments are deposited on American Express's schedule. Transactions made through this account aren't eligible for next-day deposits, as this is managed by American Express for ESA account holders.
To check your current deposit speed in QuickBooks Online, follow these steps:
- Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner and choose Account and settings.
- Select the Payments tab.
- Review the Deposit Speed section.

For a full overview of your payment activities across all QuickBooks products, you can use the Merchant Service Center. To check your payment status:
- Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
- From the homepage, select Activities & Reports and click Deposits.
- Select the date range in the Dates field.
- Click Search.
