I even disconnected the bank account and reconnected it 2x - it keeps uploading the account that is not checked off.

Thanks for bringing this one to our attention, gsternfels.

 

I appreciate you for performing some troubleshooting steps to download the bak transactions to the correct bank account. May I know what's your bank provider? This way I can check if there's a reported case about this one. To correct this, we'll need to re-import transactions to make sure they are posted to the correct account. To start, just exclude the transactions posted to the wrong account in Bank Feeds Center

  1. Go to the Banking menu at the top. 
  2. Select Bank Feeds, then choose Bank Feeds Center
  3. Choose the account where the transactions are posted. 
  4. Click Transaction List
  5. Check the Select All box. 
  6. On the Batch Actions drop-down, choose Ignore

For more details about undoing or unmatching downloaded transactions, see the Unmatch downloaded bank transactions or move them to another account article. Once deleted, you can import those transactions to the correct account using our WebConnect file. You can get the detailed steps in the Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online article. 

 

If the same thing happens, let's try signing in to QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues. Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

Then, try downloading the bank transactions again. If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

I really appreciate your help and I tried...at first confused on where to do those things... on this site or the other way I go to my quickbooks account.  So much to learn!!  This my first time using community.  I did try another browser but frustrating since my other quickbook account was working fine so do not think a bank issue since no issues there at all.  It is only when I am in my other account that this issue is occuring... so decided to rest on Sunday and call in today. Sincere thanks for assistance.

I have no transaction tab at all.  My dashboard does not look like in the video. Under dashboard, mine says "banking"  there is no "transactions" tab anywhere or list... maybe I need an update or something...

The Banking or Transactions menus have the same functionality. The names are not similar depending on the region. For the US version, we’re currently using Banking.


When connecting your bank, let’s make sure to select the right one. This way QuickBooks will download the appropriate information. Check out this article for more details: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.


If you have linked the right bank and get the same result, I recommend contacting our QBO Care Team. They’ll check the connection between QuickBooks and your financial institution.


Our specialists will review the account number entered and make sure it’s the right one. Also, they’ll guide you on how to apply the permanent solution to the issue.


Here’s how:

 

  1. Click on the Help icon at the top and choose the Contact Us button.
  2. Type the issue/topic in the field box and then hit the Continue menu.
  3. Then, choose the Chat option.
