Every Point of Sale system needs parts that help you run your business faster and easier. To make sure your QuickBooks Point of Sale system runs smoothly, here’s a list of compatible devices that you can buy.
QuickBooks Point of Sale customers can also sync with GoPayment and use the GoPayment app and card readers to add payments.

Your cash drawer comes with a cable you can use to connect to your receipt printer. We recommend you use this cable since it’s designed for cash drawers.
Tag and label printers
Tag and label printing supports sheet labels on any standard Windows laser or inkjet printer.
If you bought a card reader that is not on this list, you might have to follow additional steps to set it up. For help with the setup, reach out to your device’s manufacturer.
If you bought a PIN pad that is not on this list, you might have to follow additional steps to set it up. For help with the setup, reach out to your device’s manufacturer.

Physical inventory scanners
If you haven’t yet, make sure to turn on touch screen features in your Point of Sale.
- In Point of Sale, go to the File menu, then select Hardware Setup Wizard.
- Select Touchscreen Monitor.
- Select Enable touchscreen features checkbox.
Electronic scale for shipping manager
The Shipping Manager can use the weight info from a compatible electronic scale connected to your Point of Sale.
