Join nowWhen will Quickbooks give us the ability to upload multiple price levels for our products in Quickbooks Enterprise. We have to maintain a 3 teir price file that is not an equal percentage from cost across all sku's. My employees have to manually look up the pricing of our products in a separate file then add it to the sales order. Very time consuming, no control and potential for errors. PLEASE HELP..

Hi William,
When there are price levels per item type, we can no longer export the list using an IIF file. This is why it didn't push through.
While there ins't an option to export or import the list at the moment, I'd suggest finding a third-party app that has this function. You can go to the Apps for QuickBooks Desktop Marketplace.
On the other hand, please send a feature request from your company file. That way, our engineers will know that you need to have this feature to make your work faster, and so you can avoid errors. You'll want to click on the Help menu and choose Send Feedback Online.

n premier and enterprise price level lists are not limited to all or nothing
check mark the items to have the custom price set, set it, then uncheck those, check some others and set them differently
the issue I would like fixed is if the custom price is based upon the cost block on the item screen, then I would like the price level list to adjust when that price changes
Rustler,
Thank you for your reply, I see what you are saying. The only issue with that is we have to hand enter pricing for 1,800 items that have 3 price levels for each item. Do you know of a way to upload via excel or csv file the prices into QB?
Thanks!
Enterprise has Custom Pricing and you can make prices relative to cost. Price Rules are not the same as Price Levels and not the same as Custom Pricing. There are all sorts of functions and which to use typically depends on what and where you want to have this occur: At the point of the Sale, manually or automatically, or changed relative to Cost changes, etc.

You can use Add/Edit Multiple, from Lists menu. You can use .iif files. You can use Advanced Excel mapping. But that isn't going to populate Functions. Price levels and Price Rules are examples of Functions. Setting the price in Edit Item is only notating your starting point, if you intend to use the other functions. Setting a Cost in edit item is only notating the starting point and jump starting data entry in POs and purchases.
qbteachmt,
Thank you for your response. In our business we have multiple price levels, Retail, dealer and wholesale distributor. I have made “Price Levels” that are named as such but do not see a way to mass upload prices to each list or level.. I do not want the pricing to change based on cost or at the point of sale. I simply want to add our pricing to the Price Level list we created in the system. I have used other systems before such as SAP Business One where this was a simple 10 min task.
I looked at the Add/Edit Multiple from the lists but the Price Level List names do not show up in this form. If I go to the price level list and click edit price level it only allows me to manually enter the pricing.
Hello William,
Like what qbteachmt said, you can use the Add/Edit Multiple List Entries, .iif files, or advance Excel mapping. Since the Add/Edit Multiple List Entries function doesn't work for you, you can try importing .iif files.
First, you can export the price level list and use it for reference:
Second, open the .iif file to Excel and do the necessary changes.
Lastly, import the updated file to QuickBooks:
You can also use this article for more information about importing and exporting processes: Import/Export Overview.
Otherwise, you'll need to edit the price level one at a time manually.
We'll be around if you need any help.
Hi @JamesDuanT,
Thank you for your help and reply. Unfortunately when I do attempt to export the iff file it states that it cannot export Price Level Lists. I did export a file to see if it pushed thru anyways and there is nothing for the Price File List in the export.
It seems like such a basic business function I cannot believe the import/export functionality of the Price File List does not exist yet..
Thanks again for all your help.

Thank you for your reply. I will check the apps again but I do not remember seeing one that could help before. I have sent the request thru the Online Feedback as you mentioned, hopefully we can get something shaking there.
Thanks again for your help, Happy New Year!
I can't believe that this easy function can not be done with Quickbooks or exported to excel. I don't understand how all of Quickbooks customers can come up with these easy functions but their programmers can't or don't want to release it yet to make us customers pay more for it. Just stop and give use customers all the dang features. Either they have some of the worse programmers ever or something is wrong if customers are coming up with these functionalities before them. There are so many software programs that are so far ahead of them.
Please let me know if you were able to resolve this. I am in the same boat! 9500 items with custom wholesale prices and I cannot import the wholesale price! Very frustrating! Does not show in edit multiple items. I cannot believe that people are even suggesting you try things that do not exist.
I am in the exact same boat year in and year out. I can import my standard price but then left manually updating a 2nd price one by one. We to do not have pricing set to change based off of cost and etc. We price each item separately with a 1-9 quantity pricing and then a 10+ price. SO TIME CONSUMING that I dont know why QB hasn't done a better job of this. I have already submitted feedback online for multiple similar things to this and never hear back or see implementation.
Prepare the Price Level List data with the following template

Thanks for this. Just to clarify, I am speaking of the "Qty Discount" tab under Item > Edit. This item below is $10.15 for 1-9 qty and $9.15 for 10 or more qty. Not every item has the same qty discount or else we would use the pricing feature.
We have Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions 2020 and the Price Level List option does not show under Utilites -> Export
We have 5 different pricing levels and would love to know how to export and import excel files with all the levels.
Thank you
I appreciate you following this thread. @inayat.

If you are not familiar with IIF, utilize the migration tool as I mentioned in earlier post to import/export the Price Level List.
